90 Days to Success - Internet Business Training

As you read in the last post, I am embarking on a more orderly and structured method to my madness. A plan is in place to make the most of my time, thus becoming more efficient and effective in all that I do. Already I have encountered the demons of an internet business. Everything that you do online (especially when a lot of time is spent using social media) exposes you to other things to do online. Thus there are constant distractions. I'm not talking about silly things like playing solitaire or chess against against the computer. I'm talking about real ideas, articles, thoughts, blog posts, twitter replies, blog comments that are interesting and yet take your focus away from your goals for the day.

Thus I have decided to build into my daily list, time for the distractions. If they are to be expected and even enjoyed and benefited from, then there needs to be a time dedicated to them. Today my plan is to finalize three articles for the Renegade Super Guides and revamp my Perfect MLM web page in anticipation of our Private Invitational Launch on June 15th.

I have done the articles and can clearly check them off the list. But I have yet to even look at the web page because of a very exiting and interesting distraction. There it is. Thank goodness my list has an item called "relevant distractions". This one is a new Internet Business Training tool from the illustrious Mike Dillard. I receive a lot of information from Dillard and tend to read most of it (I read very little of the majority of newsletters that flow through my inbox). Two years ago, Dillard's ground breaking book "Magnetic Sponsoring" totally changed the way I approach my network marketing business. I credit him for opening my mind to the new way of network marketing, using the internet business model that he is most famous for---Attraction Marketing.

Dillard has a new video and a new product out. It is the first in awhile and well worth my attention. In 2006 when Mike Dillard developed the MLM Traffic Formula, it was a pinnacle moment in the network marketing industry. That training series alone change the lives of thousands. He now has come out with the Traffic Formula 2.0, which takes all the great information from the original and combines it with the cutting edge internet business techniques that have developed over the past few years. Looking at what he's put together seemed like a "relevant distraction" to me and thus here I am...reading about it/ listening to the intro free video and sharing a bit about it with you as well.

Am I off track in my day? No. After this blog post is completed and posted I will move on to my next task for today which is revamping a web page. Have a wasted time looking at Dillard's new product? No. It is relevant to all that I do in my own business as well as the coaching that I provide for others. Relevant Distractions are OK, as long as they don't prevent you from accomplishing the other more defined tasks on your list. Ciao!

The Better Choice: Attraction Marketing or Google Adwords

There is a great debate going on amongst network marketers about the inherent value of attraction marketing versus Google Adwords (or other PPC advertising).

Those who lean towards attraction marketing feel that using PPC to direct people to your product or biz opp landing page, is just too "salesy". They would rather that people find them organically through high value content on the internet. That's the attraction piece. Once they have been found, those who resonate with what they write and say will either make contact, or will fill out a contact form in order to receive something of value, such as a free report or ebook. Once that happens, the attraction marketer can then further develop the relationship through a series of emails loaded into an auto-responder system and even a phone call or two. Along the way, a relationship develops that can often pave the way to eventually doing business together.

Attraction marketing done well is an organic and powerful process. It requires a large output of time, yet the foundation of your organization will be quite strong when built in this manner. For those new to this marketing method, it can feel overwhelming a cumbersome at first. Even for those well versed in the philosophy and techniques, there are times when it can be a stretch to write one more article or create yet another video. From experience, I would say that those times pass and the creative juices flow again.

The marketers who lean towards PPC advertising, at first glance, are creating sponsored ads that when clicked lead to their product information page or their business opportunity information. Many think initially that this is the easy way to do things. Why not just send people to the page and let the website and the system do the work? What they find over time is that they are throwing a lot of money at Google or Yahoo and not enrolling very many key people. The reason is, that the people clicking on those ads are not your most targeted market. Your targeted market for your business opportunity are people seriously researching the growing biz opp avenues. Some of those people will be ad clickers, but many of your ad clickers will be more like use car tire kickers.

You can use PPC though in another and much more fruitful manner. Once you get skilled in the methods so that Google doesn't eat your shirt. (This is a good course for that). You can create ads that take people to a high value content page that you have developed. On that page you offer useful information to the market that you focused on in your ads. You include an offer for more value and use an opt-in form to gather their information so you can send them the value offer. Now you have a name and contact information and you can begin the relationship building process. This is a great way to blend PPC with Attraction Marketing and reap the benefits of both while lessening the pitfalls.

There are many systems and course available for you to learn about attraction marketing and designing your magnetic presence on the internet. I have found it helpful in my work with coaching clients to offer them some books or videos which help make the concept easier to understand. From there one needs to develop an action plan and learn different methods and tools available to put it into play.

What Kind of School is Renegade University?

If you spend a lot of time in the online marketing community, for network marketing or direct selling, you have probably seen some information about Renegade University. Many I've spoken to have noticed the name but have no clear information as to what it is exactly and to how to enroll and what the benefits are of being a Renegade U. student. Thus the reason for today's topic.

As you may know the idea of using and attraction-based marketing approach for growing a network marketing business, has been around for about 3-4 years. But for many, the "how" became a big stumbling block.

Instructions: How to Convert Clicks to Prospects

This post is focused primarily on how to successfully convert clicks to prospects when doing internet marketing. Many people offer wonderfully creative and informative websites and even have learned how to bring traffic to visit the site...but still don't see many prospects or customers develop. Why is that? Here is the answer.

You must have a good landing page for your site. A landing page is just that..a place where people LAND once they click on a link in a paid ad or anywhere else online. Once a person lands on your page you need to do three things:

1. Keep their attention so that they stay on the page and read through it.

2. Offer them something that entices them to fill out your Lead Capture Form (back to that one in a moment) and give you their name and contact information.

3. Give very clear instructions as to the ACTION that they need to take..such as "Fill in your name and click to GO button.

If you send someone to a web page that does not have these three components then the chances of them becoming prospects or leads or customers, is greatly reduced.

Back to the Lead Capture Form. This is form that you create and put on your Landing Page. It is tied to an auto-responder system like Aweber which allows you to create lists composed of everyone who fills out your form. You must have one of these systems. They say in internet marketing that the fortune is in the list.

In Video #4 of PPC Domination Training Course, Jim Yaghi does a great job of showing the components of a really good landing page. He strongly suggests that beginners utilize some type of funded proposal system that comes with a landing page ready to go. He uses Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring affiliate program as an example. Mike does an awesome job with all his landing pages, but I find that sometimes people prefer a more personal touch. I do like the idea of using funded proposals though, as an easy way to capture leads, meet prospects and fund your advertising costs.

Marketing Merge/Renegade University is a great funded proposal system that allows you to create a very personalized landing page. The debate could be that these personalized pages don't have as strong of a call to action as the more direct/generic pages...so I would try both kinds if I were you (Renegade University gives you this option). I use both and vary them based on my target audience. Personalized Example

Once someone has landed on your page and given you their information and you have given them whatever it is you offered (free video, ebook, etc...) now it's time to make contact. In your auto-responder system should be a series of letters that you send to your new prospect. Most of the packaged funded proposal systems do this for you. Beyond that, I strongly suggest that you use that phone number that you have acquired and say hello to your new prospect. Call and say hi. Get to know them. Find out what they are searching for and see if you can offer a solution.

Your click has now become your prospect.

Why I'm Enthralled With Mike Dillard's PPC Domination Course

Kiyosaki Interview: Financial Smarts in a Bad Economy


Mike Dillard interviewed Robert Kiyosaki this past Thursday (October 9, 2008). The focus of the interview was on the present state of the economy and what people could do to thrive rather than struggle. Robert Kiyosaki is presenting a three day workshop at the end of October and this call was a precursor to the course. The information given was worthwhile for anyone wanting to better understand their present financial situation and what it takes to thrive in difficult times like these. Kiyosaki is all about franchises, real estate and network marketing. He believes that if you truly are looking for wealth than you better be a business owner and not count on most of the advice given to people regarding how to earn and save money. I would strongly suggest reading a few of his books.

Why Kiyosaki (Rich Dad) Endorsed Network Marketing

Robert Kiyosaki, Author of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad Books spoke on a private invitation only conference call today. As most know, the economy has taken its worst hit this week since 1929. People have lost money, world economies are struggling. The media is focusing on all the gloom and doom and people are panicking.

What Did Robert Say?

On the call tonight, Kiyosaki was interviewed by Mike Dillard (Magnetic Sponsoring Guru). Kiyosaki's main point on the call was that NOW is the time to take action. He said, "If you are not in a network marketing or other home base business today, then you are out of business." Four years ago Kiyosaki came out in strong favor of the network marketing industry as the best place for the average person to begin growing their own business. He reiterated that recommendation again tonight.

BAD ADVICE

Kiyosaki said that if you are not rich today--if you are one of the people who had lost a lot of money in the past two weeks--then somewhere in the past you were given BAD ADVICE. In today's economy, job security is a myth. No politician from either party can bring high paying jobs back. Jobs migrate to the location where workers will work for the lowest wage. If you still believe that you can go to school and get out with a degree and get a good, secure job then you are still living in the last century. You must wake up and smell the coffee.

What Should I Do?

Inflation is coming. Depression may be coming. Social Security and Medicare are in grim shape. What are YOU going to do to take control of your financial life? Now is a big opportunity period. You can take action--make a commitment--create income that is totally in your control from network marketing, franchising or other independent business owner situations. Or you can commit to being a coward and join that crowd that is panicking, hiding and praying the they (the government; the company; my parents) take care of me.

Give Without Want and You'll Get What You Need

Have you noticed that when you begin with a new network marketing company there is such a focus on communicating the story of your company and your product. You receive marketing literature, CD's, DVD's all talking about the wonders of your juice/pill/carwash/travel company. I all honesty, a lot of this material is extremely well put together and gives the potential customer or business partner a lot of good information to help them make a decision.

But is that really what people need and look for when deciding to join a network marketing company? According to Mike Dillard in his book Magnetic Sponsoring, it is not. People will not join you as a business partner because you have the latest/greatest/best/most lucrative/ground floor opportunity. People will join you in your business because of you. Who are you? Are you someone who can help them reach for their dreams and goals?

This idea might seem discouraging at first. "Who am I?", you might be asking. "Why would someone want to work with me?" Once you read more about Attraction-Based Marketing, your questions will be answered. Everyone in your company is offering the exact same product and the exact same compensation plan as you. Everyone in the network marketing industry is offering the best compensation plan and the quickest route to riches beyond your wildest dreams. But you---you are unique. No one can offer what you can. You have experiences that no one has had. You have ideas that are derived from your own imagination and creativity. Start by thinking about your special attributes.

Then give to others. Share what you know. Write articles that help others with a problem. Assist people in your company, even if they're not in your direct line. In fact, offer value wherever you go. You will be creating an expansive, abundant vibration and through that, abundance will find its way back to you. Try it.
